family fridays

It’s been a strange week.  We were all recovering from that flu virus and have been in the weird slightly too sick to do stuff but not sick enough to actually stay in bed all day phase.  Josh’s clinical schedule this month only allows him to come home on the weekends so we haven’t seen him at all basically.  He is only a little over an hour away but there is a very expensive toll ($17 round trip).  They provide a room for him in the hospital but it’s not very cozy, to say the least.  He misses us and we miss him.

But Micah and I have been spending a lot of nice time together lately.  He comes in my bed first thing in the morning and we watch Curious George and snuggle.  We have gone on several play dates with friends and it’s been nice.  My favorite part of our week was playing in the backyard on Wednesday.  The weather was so beautiful – a warm 60 degree day.  I pushed him on his swing for about 20 minutes and he just talked to me the whole time.  I love hearing what’s going on in his little brain.  My favorite moments: he told me he could jump high and get the bird in the tree, and later asked me if there would be lions or monsters in Arizona (we’re planning a trip there next month).  I love that kid!

Tuesday would have been Evie’s two month birthday and Wednesday was her two months in Heaven.  It has been a fairly emotional week.  I miss her so much!  I plan to post a little bit of my heart tomorrow with regards to exactly what missing her looks like.

So that’s what we’ve been up to.  Thanks for checking in on us.  Hope you have a great weekend. <3

Love you — I spent some time this week thinking about Evie more than usual. Sometimes I wonder if there's a special place in heaven for babies who go home so soon. Then I wonder if our babies are friends. I hope so. <3ReplyCancel
